A VISUAL RECORD OF WALLASEY GRAMMAR SCHOOL

The Old Wallaseyans World Wide has produced a DVD from the newsreel films made by the WGS film society between 1938 and 1970. The DVD shows many facets of the life of the School and contains the faces of hundreds of pupils and a great many masters of the time. Although these will be preserved on the DVD for posterity, the names of the "cast" and what they were doing when filmed will be losr as the memory of their contempories fades. The Committee of the OWWW feels that we should do better than this and is appealing to all who were associated with the School during this time to see the DVD and put names to the faces and if possible short details of what became of them. In this way a valuable piece of history will be preserved. As examples,a scene from the DVD is produced below and we would like to know the identity of the masters and boys appearing in them:-

The first list of people identified can be viewed by pressing the adjoining hyperlink. However, this list just scraches the surface and there are many more OWs who are still unidentified
